Work in order, stay calm
Most player problems are small, and nearly all of them are one of the six in this guide. Work in the order given: each fix is cheaper than the next, and the early ones cure the majority of cases our readers write in about, usually starting from a fresh fetch of Mornye APK.
One discipline before you begin: change one thing at a time, then test with the same track. Shotgun troubleshooting creates mysteries; orderly troubleshooting creates answers.
The library looks empty
Nine times out of ten, the player has lost or never received permission to read your music folders, often after a system update or a settings tidy. Re-grant library access, confirm your music folders are still listed in settings, and run a scan with the app open.
If music lives on a storage card, check the card is mounted and readable in your phone's file view. A player cannot organise what the phone itself cannot see. Our notes on installing Mornye step by step cover the neighbouring half of this topic.
Albums arrive split, artists doubled
This is tags, almost always. One artist spelled two ways becomes two artists; one album whose tracks disagree on its title becomes two shelves. Set the artist and album fields identically across the affected files, then rescan.
Our organising guide covers the four fields that matter and the five-minute weekly habit that stops this recurring. Fix artists you love first and the library's face changes faster than you expect. The file itself waits on the Mornye download page whenever you are ready.
Lyrics missing or out of step
Missing lyrics mean the file carries none, or none with timing; out-of-step lyrics mean the timing belongs to a different edition of the track, common with live versions wearing studio clothing. Test with a track you are certain carries timed lyrics to confirm the feature itself is healthy.
Keep lyrics files named to match their tracks when you store them separately, and rescan after any correction so the library views rebuild with the new data. There is more on this in Mornye extensions, explained safely, written from the same test library.
Stuttering on big hi-res files, and stubborn scans
Stutter on very large files usually means the phone is busy: a fresh scan indexing in the background, or heavy apps competing. Let scans finish, close what you are not using, and test again with the same passage.
A scan that seems stuck is often a scan reading one damaged or enormous file. Note where it slows, check that file's health on a computer if you can, and exclude a corrupt file rather than letting it block the whole library. Order restored, in almost every case, without a single reinstall. Listeners who make the Mornye download their daily player tend to stay for this feeling: a library that answers instantly and asks for nothing.
Quick Answers
Should I reinstall Mornye to fix problems?
Almost never as a first step. Permissions, tags and scans explain nearly every case in this guide. Reinstalling is the last resort, and your files stay safe regardless because they live outside the app.
Why did my library break after a phone update?
System updates sometimes reset app permissions. Re-grant library access and run a fresh scan, and the library rebuilds from your untouched files.
One album will not play at all. What is it telling me?
Likely a damaged or incomplete file. Test the same album from a fresh copy, and check whether other files from the same source share the problem.
